Also they dress as girls a lot in variety shows for contests, and just pure entertainment and fan-service. You’ll even see a few of them taking self-pictures with wigs on and doing aegyo. Now before you start going off about it, just look at them! You have to admit some of them can even put real girls to shame!

Xander reveals his secrets in Manila

It’s sweeter the second time around for former UKISS member Alexander Lee Eusebio, also known as Xander, during his fan meeting in Manila held at the Cinema 4 of SM Megamall in Ortigas last July 27.

It was 2 hours of fun and excitement with the Filipino Xanderettes and Xander who spilled secrets and spoiled his fans by mentioning some facts about his upcoming movie, 3 Peas in a Pod, showing in November co-starring Jay Liew and Calvin Chen. The rest of the program went to dances from Xander and his back up dancers, KU-KISS, and joking with his fans and even sharing some pick-up lines.

In a segment called ‘Minute with Xander’, where fans who were lucky enough to catch a ball from Xander himself got to spend 60 seconds on the stage beside him and talked about just anything. The last two girls were smart enough to spend around 10 seconds or so to play the staring game with their idol.

While some got really starstruck and speechless beside Xander, others were able to ask personal questions such as his ideal type which he answered with Lee Hyori and Sandara Park, both noonas who fit his ideal of a mature and sexy, although sweet and young also fit his expectations.

He sang the chorus of Daniel Padilla‘s hit song Na Sayo Na Ang Lahat, a local artist from the Philippines whom he had mentioned in his press conference that he would want to collaborate with. Not forgetting about his former group UKISShe said that the member he misses the most is the youngest in the group Dongho and that he is looking forward to collaborate with them again some time in the future.

Before he finally waved his goodbye to the fans, a surprise birthday segment was presented with a fan-made video and birthday cake. He also wished to come back to the country for a more intimate and longer bonding experience with his fans to whom he sang in a random melody, “Kumusta ka aking mahal?” (How are you, my love?). The last song he performed with two of his back up dancers was the Kimchi Song before the actual fan signing event took place.3 Peas in a Pod is a Huat Film Productions movie showing on November 14. Don’t dare miss his first on-screen performance as an actor. Who wouldn’t want to see Xander in a bath tub? Note that he said, “In the tub, I was wearing a speedo.”Check out more photos from the event below:

We would like to thank Fangirlasia for bringing Xander to the country and for the successful Alexander Fan Party in Manila.

Fan Party with Xander!

We will surely miss you Xander! ‘Till we meet again!

Former U-KISS member and now a solo artist, Alexander ‘Xander’ Lee Eusebio, has returned to town again! He had a Fan Party last Saturday (July 27). Luckily, I had the privilege to see him up close and personal at last Saturday’s Fan Party.

‘Has it really been three years?’

Xander asked, as his face shone with enthusiasm with the crowd. It has been three years since Xander’s last visit in the Philippines and except for the fact that he is now a solo artist, Xander is still as bubbly, cheerful and handsome as before.

The 24-year old singer, entertainer, actor is in the Philippines for his “Alexander Fan Party in Manila”, presented by Fangirlasia.com and sponsored by KFest Manila events Management together with HG Studio, K-Pub BBQ, SM Cinema, Subspace Coffee House, Snack Time, MusicAsia, CeeMarket and Digipost which was held last Saturday at SM Megamall Cinema 4. Kring Elenzano was the host for the said event.

The program continued for 2 hours of fun and excitement with the Filipino Xanderettes and Xander, who shared a lot of interesting facts and enliven his fans by mentioning his upcoming movie, 3 Peas in a Pod, which was directed by Singaporean actress-turned-director Michelle Chong. Xander will be starring in the film with Calvin Chen, a member of Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit, and new actress Jae Liew. The movie will premiere in Singapore in November of this year.

In a segment called ‘Minute with Xander’, where fans, which were selected by catching a ball from Xander, got to spend a minute on the stage, sitting beside him and ask about anything. The last two girls were smart and brave enough to ask Xander to stare at them for the remaining time. While some got speechless and star struck with the idol beside them, others were able to ask personal questions. One fan asked him to sing, and he sang in a random melody, “Kumusta ka aking mahal?” (How are you, my love).

The rest of the program went to dances from Xander and his back up dancers, KU-KISS, while he jokes with his fans and even tried to say some pick-up lines.

He sang the chorus of Daniel Padilla‘s hit song Na Sayo Na Ang Lahat, a local artist from the Philippines whom he had mentioned in his press conference that he would want to collaborate with. He also sang the chorus part of Black Eyed Peas‘ 2006 hit song Bebot.

He also did a Gwiyomi that was requested by the Filipino fans and randomly picked five selected from the audience and did a Gwiyomi together. The winners was allowed to have a picture together with the idol.

Before the program ended, a surprise birthday video segment was presented with a fan made video and a birthday cake. He also wished to come back to the country for a longer bonding experience with his Filipino fans. The last song he performed with his two back up dancers, was the Kimchi Song before the fan signing event took place.

Don’t miss out his first on-screen movie that will hit the theaters on November 14th.

Alexander talks about his new movie, U-KISS and life lessons

Former U-KISS member now solo artist, Alexander Lee Eusebio, is in the Philippines for his fan party and special performance at Kfest. On July 26, 2013, he greeted the media and his fans “Mabuhay! (Hello)” at a press conference held in K-pub.

The artist, back in the country after three years, shared that he still felt nervous and excited at the same time. He also recalled his experience when he was still a member of U-KISS and had his first concert in Manila. Weeks before his arrival, Xander also posted on his Twitter account about how excited he was to be able to eat halo-halo again, a common dessert in the country.

This November, 3 Peas in a Pod, a Michelle Chong movie starring Xander, Jay Liew and Calvin Chen, will be shown in cinemas. He didn’t expect it, but he said that Calvin, a member of Fahrenheit, is very nice. The three stars became close to each other during filming. Although they are busy, they still communicate with each other from time to time.

When asked who he wanted to collaborate with in the future, everyone was surprised when he mentioned Daniel Padilla, a famous artist in the country. He said that Daniel reminded him of U-KISS’ Dongho.

He shared that the greatest lesson he has learned so far is the importance of his family. Fans were also curious about what his ideal girl might be. He said that he would be fine with anyone–except someone who was possessive.

Will there ever be a chance for him to work with U-KISS again? He revealed that even when he left the group, he and U-KISS agreed that in the future they would surely perform on the same stage again. It will happen at the right time. He also left an impression with his greetings in different languages like English, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese and more.

What is the one thing he would like to try besides singing, dancing, modeling and acting? He brought laughter to the crowd when he said, “I want to try to be a husband,” but that he still needed to look for a girlfriend first. He shared that he feels happy being able to try lots of things, and that he would like to do more. However, he would love to do something that is more of a life experience.

The Alexander Fan Party in Manila will be brought to us by Fangirlasia. It will be held on July 27, 2013 at SM Megamall Cinema 4, at 4:00 PM. Expect an event full of music and fun as he interacts with fans and shows the real him. He will also make a special appearance at the Kpop and Culture Fest at SM Megamall on July 28, 2013. See you there!

2012: A look at Kpop in Malaysia

Happy 2013! We hope you had a blast ushering in the New Year.

Before we move on and never look back, I would like to invite you to take a quick look at 2012 to see what it offered all of us k-popped folks.

Well, one thing’s for sure. Kpop fans in Malaysia had nothing to complain about in 2012. The continuous flow of Korean artistes coming to our shores was overwhelming. Below is a list of Korean-related events that were held in Malaysia last year.

Jan 14 – F.T. Island concert (below) and Bang & ZELO showcase. Yup, both on the same day! What a way to kick things off in 2012!

Photobucket

Feb 11 – Universal K-pop Crazy Party at Wisma Bentley. Were you guys sexcited when Jay Park called in?

Mar 23 – SNSD at Petronas Twin Towers. What a treat for the F1 weekend! Fans went crazy when we heard about the special appearance by the girls.

Apr 12 – 15 – Red Soul‘s series of events to promote their latest album Stay. Lovely voices, these guys.

May 12-13 – Jay Park (below) showcases in Kuala Lumpur & Sabah. We have an exclusive video interview with the laidback guy :)

Photobucket

May 25 & 26 – Hari Himpunan Jutaan Belia. An event that was spread over two days, we had U-KISS performing on May 25 and Dal Shalbet and Teen Top performing on May 26.

May 26 – Block B performs at the Grand Opening of Kenanga Wholesale City Mall.

May 27 – Jung Sungha mesmerizes fans with his guitar-god skills in Penang!

July 6 – B.A.P showcase. They rocked the house, we heard. Were you there? :P

July 14 – Jay Park (again!) & KARA were invited to perform at the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012. They shared the stage with Malaysia’s Mizz Nina and superstar Justin Bieber!

July 18 – Jo Kwon held a video conference. A few lucky fans were invited for the event.

Sept 30 – APINK & B1A4 Hi-5 Session at The Butter Factory. Yay!

Oct 3 – T-ARA’s first showcase in Malaysia brought out 5,000 fans!

Oct 13 – Wonder Girls Wonder World Tour. Oooh la la!

Oct 14 – Lee Hyun Woo (below) of popular K-drama To the Beautiful You meets his fans in Malaysia.

Photobucket

Oct 27 – Big Bang Alive Tour. Epic. Concert of the Year, some say :)

Nov 2: Lee Seung Gi holds a fan meeting-cum-showcase for his fans in Malaysia.

Nov10: ZE:A Showcase in Malaysia. Songs, games and a birthday celebration. What’s not to love?

Nov 23 – VIXX (below) & NU’EST at the Shout Awards 2012.

Nov 24 – VIXX 1st fan meet in Malaysia

Photobucket

Dec 1 – 3rd Wave, Brian Joo & Alexander Eusebio perform in aid of Birthright.

Dec 1 – The Way of Love 2AM Concert in Malaysia

Dec 2 – Balladeer Tim Hwang meets his fans in Malaysia

Dec 11 – Asia Super Showcase & Kim Hyung Jun at the Malaysia Model Festival Awards.

Dec 15: NU’EST: The Face to Face in Malaysia

Phwoar…fans of K-entertainment were certainly kept occupied in 2012. Two events were cancelled, though. K-pop Storm Live in Malaysia boasted NINE k-pop acts on ONE stage. It was supposed to be held on Nov 6, but it was cancelled. 2NE1′s first concert in Malaysia scheduled for Dec 8 was also a no g0 :( .

We may have missed out a few events (with so many acts coming, it was a challenge to keep track of EVERY SINGLE ONE), but it’s OK. Acts that we’ve missed might just pop by again in 2013. We hear the coming year will be even busier than before.

Are you ready?
